CHOOSE YOUR EVISA
1 option

Every eVisa is issued electronically — no embassy visit required. Government fee plus our processing fee, shown in full before you pay.

Before you apply

One tourist eVisa. A clear price.

For eligible ordinary-passport holders visiting Laos for tourism. This is optional application assistance from gov.online, an independent private service.

Most eligible passports

$200 USD

$50 official eVisa fee + $150 service fee per traveller. Chinese passports: $185 ($35 + $150). Any government bank charge is covered by our service fee.

Stay up to 30 days

Single entry. Enter Laos within 60 days of approval; the 30-day stay starts when you enter.

Usually 3 working days

Count from a complete application and payment. Weekends, public holidays and extra checks can add time. Approval and timing are decided by the Lao authorities.

What to prepare

  • Your ordinary passport, valid for at least six months from arrival, with at least one blank page. Upload a clear image of the information page.
  • A recent 4 × 6 cm colour photo, taken within six months, facing forward against a white background. Upload JPG, JPEG or PNG files, up to 10 MB.
  • After approval, print your eVisa approval letter and carry it with the same passport. A phone copy alone is not sufficient for entry.

Choose an approved arrival point

An eVisa is accepted only at the following entry points. Check your route before you pay; it does not work at every border crossing.

Wattay International Airport · Luang Prabang International Airport · Pakse International Airport · Lao–Thai Friendship Bridges I, II and IV · Boten International Checkpoint · Boten Railway Station · Khamsavath Railway Station

Taiwan passport holders cannot select Boten Railway Station in the official application. Indian and Nepalese travellers should also prepare proof of funds, itinerary, accommodation and return or onward travel for arrival checks.

A few things to know

Do I need an eVisa?

Some ordinary passports already allow a visa-free visit, including Japan and many ASEAN countries. We do not sell this 30-day visa to passports with a full 30-day exemption. Myanmar, Luxembourg and Switzerland have shorter exemptions and need a manual trip-length review; online purchase is not offered for these passports here.

Can I use it for work, study or multiple trips?

No. The online product offered here is the Tourist eVisa (T-B3), for one entry and up to 30 days. Business, work, study and longer-stay permissions need a different route; they are not sold on this page.

Is urgent or emergency processing available?

We offer Standard only. The official service does not provide an urgent decision guarantee. Leave enough time before travel and wait for approval before relying on the eVisa.

Can I apply directly instead?

Yes. You can apply through the official Lao eVisa service without using gov.online. Our separate $150 fee covers our application-assistance service and does not guarantee a visa or admission.

What happens if my application is refused?

The Lao eVisa service treats its fee as non-refundable, including a refusal. Read our service terms and refund policy before payment. Only the Lao authorities can decide the application or admission.

Visa information checked 22 October 2026. Entry rules can change.
